Priyanka Chopra spoke about Nick Jonas’ cameo role in her upcoming movie Love Again that also stars Sam Heughan
International sensation Priyanka Chopra has been making the headlines for her fabulous looks during the premieres of her upcoming web-show Citadela. The actress has an interesting set of projects in her pipeline, one of them being love again, co-starring Sam Heughan. The trailer of the movie was released on Valentine’s Day and Nick Jonas’ surprising cameo had left the fans gushing. In a recent interaction, the actress opened up about the story behind his casting.
During her appearance on the US chat show Live with Kelly and Ryan, the actress revealed that the character Nick essays was supposed to be given to a random actor. As the movie was shot during the COVID-19 pandemic, she was dreading shooting the scene with an unknown actor. For the unversed, in the scene that PeeCee was dreading to Shoot, her character Mira asks her date (played by Nick) to go slow. Talking about the specific scene she started answering the question by saying, “Thank God! Thank God it (their makeout scene) was my husband.” Shedding light on the same, she went on to explain how in the script the scene was written as a bad online date. She revealed that she was dreading doing the above-mentioned scene as the makers were planning to cast a random guy to do it. Since this was during the COVID-19 pandemic, she was very sceptical as “I am okay with no saliva in these situations, especially with someone you don't know.” ALSO READ: CONFIRMED! As luck would have it Nick was visiting her in London at the time to help her settle down as she was going to spend over a-year-and-a-half there. It was then that the director James C Strouse suggested that Nick, who has acted in movies like the Jumanji franchise, could be casted for the role. Quoted by Hindustan Times, Priyanka added, “So our director Jim, was like ‘Well, since Nick is in town, and he is an actor, would you mind if we asked him.’ And I was like ‘Yes! I will do it, I will ask him.’ Because that was comfortable saliva. It is familiar”
On the work front, Priyanka Chopra has an exciting slate of upcoming projects. She will be next seen in the Russo brothers' spy thriller Citadel, co-starring Richard Madden. Apart from this, she has Love Again and Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in the pipeline.
