The infamous Snyder Cut has been the topic of conversation ever since Justice League released in 2017. While Warner Bros released Justice League, and it was one of the most highly anticipated superhero team-up film back then. The film however, didn’t live up to people’s expectations and was met with harsh reviews. While the production for Justice League was on, director Zack Snyder had to exit the project due to a family tragedy, and he was then replaced by Joss Whedon. However, even after Snyder’s exit, fans believe his original cut of Justice League still exists.
#ReleaseTheSnyderCut was trending on social media last year after Gal Gadot aka Wonder Woman shared a picture along with the hashtag. Excited fans followed the trend, believing that the Snyder Cut is still out there. Now, once again, as Zack Snyder gets ready to host Man Of Steel watch party, fans are trending the hashtag, demanding Snyder’s cut of Justice League. Yesterday, the director took to his Twitter and wrote, “Many of us are struggling during this difficult time. Felt it could be cathartic to come together now for a Man of Steel Watch Party and celebrate the ultimate symbol of hope. Submit some questions, I’ll answer a few after.”
Trending #ReleaseTheSnyderCut on social media, one fan wrote, “#ReleaseTheSnyderCut It could suck, it could be amazing. All that matters is that we are going to see the version the director intended,” while another user wrote, “The struggle and debates we made, when every media tried to mock us and made us believe it doesn't exist we firmly stood against them and said #ReleaseTheSnyderCut.”
