Much to everyone's surprise, the Grown Up actor Salma Hayek recently shared a picture of Goddess Lakshmi on her Instagram account, revealing how the Goddess helps her to connect with her inner beauty. She even mentioned that her image makes her feel joyful, and joy is the greatest door for her inner beauty. After sharing the picture, she also asserted that she only has one god but she believes in the beauty of all good intentions. Seeing Salma talking about the Goddess and what she represents in Hinduism, some Indian fans were quite impressed with Salma talking highly of the goddess and thanked her for showing so much love and respect. Even Bollywood actor Bipasha Basu was impressed as she commented, 'Amazing' under her post.
Sharing the picture of Goddess Lakshmi, she backed with a spiritual note which read, "When I want to connect with my inner beauty, I start my meditation focusing on the goddess Lakshmi, who in Hinduism represents wealth, fortune, love, beauty, Māyā (literally meaning "illusion" or "magic”), joy and prosperity. Somehow her image makes me feel joyful, and joy is the greatest door for your inner beauty."
A user made a comment saying, "It’s very great to see Western devotee to Indian deity" while another one wrote, "We indians all r happy..that u r believe in your goddess Lakshmi for inner beauty..we to love you madam" There are some who were not very happy with her talking about a Hindu deity. A religious debate of sorts started in the comment section. With this, in a follow-up comment, the actor further added in Spanish which said, “I also only have one God, but I believe in the beauty of all good intentions - and thanks for the blessings.”
