It was a moment full of joy, happy tears and pride for mommy Andrea Swift after her daughter and singer Taylor Swift received a massive honour at the latest edition of American Music Awards. Last night, the super-talented Taylor Swift was honoured with the Artist of the Decade Award at the AMAs. Andrea Swift, along with her husband Scott and Taylor Swift’s best buddy Selena Gomez, was seated in the front row amid Taylor’s enchanting performance, which she ended with the delightful Lover on the piano. And the moment Taylor’s performance ended, the camera panned towards her momma who couldn’t control her smile and tears, making all the viewers go aww. Well, this night was indeed very special for Taylor Swift and her fans, because despite battling breast cancer, she came to watch her daughter perform. In fact, Taylor even penned a very special song titled “Soon You’ll Get Better,” off her album Lover, in regards to her mother’s health.

Upon winning the Artist of the Decade award, Taylor Swift delivered a speech that won everyone’s hearts. An excerpt from her long speech read, “I don’t know what I’m talking about other than the fact that this year for me has been a lot. It’s been a lot of good. It’s been a lot of really complicated and so on behalf of my family and me, thank you so much for being there and for caring. I’m nominated against some absolutely iconic artists. This is crazy. Tonight was an amazing night full of the most unforgettable performances. This is such a great year in music. The new artists are insane. I’m lucky to be here. I know that every step of the way. Thank you so much.”
