Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson were among the first celebrities to have tested positive for COVID-19. The actor shared the news with his fans through his social media handle and was under self-quarantine in Australia since then. As Hanks constantly updated fans about the health through social media, just recently, the actor took to his social media to share that his wife and he are back home in Los Angeles. Tom Hanks also shared a health update with his fans and informed about his condition.
On Twitter, the 63-year-old actor tweeted, “Hey, Folks... We’re home now and, like the rest of America, we carry on with sheltering in place and social distancing,.Many, many thanks to everyone in Australia who looked after us. Their care and guidance made possible our return to the USA. And many thanks to all of you who reached out with well wishes. Rita and I so appreciate it. Hanx.” In the tweet, the actor mentioned that his wife Rita and he are back home and are continuing social distancing like the rest of America.
Tom Hanks also thanked everyone who looked after his wife and him in Australia and the ones who reached out to them with well wishes. The actor also shared another joint tweet, that read, “Hey, folks. Two weeks after our first symptoms and we feel better,” updating fans about the health of his wife and him. The couple also urged their fans and followers to stay home and self isolate.
Meanwhile, on March 11, Tom Hanks shared that he and his wife Rita Wilson had contacted COVID-19 in Australia. The actor was shooting for Baz Luhrmann’s untitled Elvis Presley biopic in Australia, which was stalled after Hanks tested positive for the Coronavirus.
