Forrest Gump actor Tom Hanks, who has been released from the Australian hospital where he was with his wife Rita Wilson, who was also tested positive for COVID- 19, have been advised to be in self-quarantine. When the actor shared the news of being infected by coronavirus, many of his fans were in complete shock and poured in speedy recovery wishes for him on his social media handle. However, after being recovered from coronavirus, Tom Hanks’ sister Sandra Hanks shared an update on his health, saying, ‘He’s not great, but still okay.’
While talking to Daily Mail, Sandra Hanks Benoiton broke her silence about Tom’s diagnosis as she remains in Italy under quarantine. She was quoted saying to the portal: “I have communicated with my brother. He’s not great, but still okay. [Am I] shocked? No. He’s an actor, not a god [but] medical care in Australia is good.” Tom's sister resides in Italy since 2016 and is currently lockdown inside her abode due to the COVID-19 virus. "We're okay here... staying home is fine with us, and this community is wonderful. I'm lucky to be here, the spirit of the people is amazing! The US and the UK are failing miserably, however," said Sandra.
Meanwhile, the 63-year-old actor shared a picture of a typewriter on his Insta page and mentioned the good news that one week after testing positive and staying in isolation, he has resumed household chores like ‘folding laundry and doing the dishes.’ On the other hand, the bad news is his wife Rita won 6 straight hands of gin rummy.
Apart from Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, the other celebs who were tested positive with coronavirus were Juventus star Daniele Rugani, NBA player Rudy Gobert, the wife of President Justin Trudeau’s wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau and Idris Elba.
