According to a report in Hindustan Times, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ earned a whopping Rs. 20 crores in advance booking collections for its opening day in India. Interestingly, James Cameron in an interview with Variety revealed why people should go and watch the sequel which took 13 years. The director was quoted saying, “Minds will be blown. It’s all about beauty and the promise of being transported to another world and getting to enjoy it.”
The first part of the film Avatar was released in 2009 and it broke several records at the box office and went on to become the highest-grossing film at the time. It even surpassed Cameron's Titanic at the ticket window in the United States and as well as in Canada. Avatar: The Way of Water is expected to smash all records by raking in almost $3 billion worldwide.
