Bard Of Blood: Things You Didn’t Know About The Netflix Original Series
The OTT giant, Netflix has been created some of the best shows in India. Whether it’s Sacred Games, Delhi Crime or Ghoul, the Indian digital content space has not been the same ever since they arrived. Their next venture Bard of Blood is out next month and ever since the trailer dropped a few days ago, we can’t wait to see it!

Bard of Blood is a political spy thriller set in Balochistan. Indian spies there are about to be killed before they pass on intelligence to India. On a rescue mission are Kabir Anand (Emraan Hashmi), Isha (Sobhita Dhulipala) and Veer (Vineet Kumar Singh) who have to save them. The trailer is a thrill ride with lots of action and stunning sequences. Here are some things you may not know about the show.

1. The show marks Emraan Hashmi’s debut in the digital space. Earlier, a poster boy for commercial cinema, Hashmi has always been a great performer in the right kind of role. A show by Netflix is a great way to begin his web journey.

2. This is Sobhita’s second web series after the vastly successful Amazon Prime Video show, Made In Heaven. For Sobhita fans, you have even more to look forward to – Made In Heaven is back for a second season soon!

3. It seems like this is just the beginning for Shah Rukh Khan and Netflix. While this is the first show his production house, Red Chillies Entertainment is producing, they have another show called Betaal on zombies in production. He is also said to have bought the rights for popular Spanish show, La Casa De Papel (Money Heist). King Khan and Netflix is our favourite collaboration of 2019!

4. Bard of Blood is based on a novel of the same name written by Bilal Siddiqi. He also collaborated on the show. Netflix seems to have a fondness for book adaptations – their most famous Indian original, Sacred Games, was also based on a book.

5. The director of the show, Ribhu Dasgupta, is also making his debut on the web, earlier having directed Vidya Balan, Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer, Te3n.
