The Financial Express reported, Mohta said that content will play a major role and the platform is not looking at advertising to garner revenues. “SVOD (subscription video-on-demand) is the only way to make money. We will be premiering Dwitiyo Purush next month on Hoichoi first,” he added.

Hoichoi is a community-focused platform where there are contents for everyone. Some are looking at sports, some at catch-up TV, kids content while originals and movies.
The company aims to take to online video viewing by Financial Year 2023. According to CII-BCG report, India’s SVOD market is estimated to reach $1.5 billion by 2023.
