Chhalaang Trailer: Rajkummar Rao- Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub Fight For PT Teacher’s Position And Nushrratt Bharuccha’s Love In This Sports Comedy

There has been a surge of movie releases on OTT platforms during the lockdown period with the theatres being shut. One such movie to come out during lockdown is Chhalaang, whose trailer released today. Chhalaang stars Rajkummar Rao, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub in the lead roles and it is directed by Hansal Mehta. The cast also includes Ila Arun, Satish Kaushik and Saurabh Shukla.
The story revolves around Montu, played by Rajkummar Rao, who is a PT teacher, which according to him is an easy-going job to earn a living. His life changes when the new computer teacher (Nushrat) joins the school, whom he tries to woo in every way possible. But there’s always a third person involved and staying true to that course, Ayyub’s character enters. He is a senior PT teacher and is vying for the affection of the computer teacher as well, sparking a love triangle.
This movie marks Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao’s fifth collaboration after Shahid, Citylights, Aligarh and Omerta. Talking to Indian Express, Hansal Mehta said, “ We made this film with the hopes of delivering a beautiful message through a light-hearted comedy. While being extremely relevant to student and teacher’s life, Chhalaang is a complete package filled with emotions of love, comedy, friendship, rivalry and emotional drama making it a perfect Diwali family entertainer.”
Chhalaang will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 13, 2020.
