After being premiered at the 24th edition of the Busan International Film Festival which is Asia’s one of the most prestigious film festivals, director Alankrita Shrivastava’s Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare is all set to entertain the audience on the OTT platform. As per reports in Peepingmoon, the much-awaited film backed by Ekta Kapoor will be released on Netflix in September 2020.  Starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Bhumi Pednekar, Vikrant Massey and Amol Parashar this film will get you thinking.

The said portal’s journalist tweeting this news, wrote, “Netflix India is releasing Alankrita Shrivastava's #DollyKittyAurWohChamakteSitare next month.. The film stars @bhumipednekar,@konkonas, @masseysahib and @amolparasharin the leads... Premiere date to be announced soon! @alankrita601@ektarkapoor@balajimotionpic@NetflixIndia” The film revolves around the lives of Dolly and Kitty played by Konkona and Bhumi respectively, the film has been in the buzz ever since the first look was unveiled. It saw Bhumi and Konkona’s faces trapped in cages, savagely posing.

The tweet came along with a picture of Konkona and Bhumi having a big laugh, both were seen in traditional outfits. Have a look below- 


So far an official confirmation is awaited from the film cast, but if this is true, get ready as Alankrita’s work has always left women in the society inspired and encouraged. As per reports in BollywoodHungama in July 2020, a source close to the publication was quoted saying, “She (Alankrita) also helmed Made In Heaven with Zoya Akhtar for Amazon.
