So far, we have seen Bhumi Pednekar in the girl-next-door characters, however, she has intrigued her fans by bringing something fresh for the viewers in the form of Durgamati - The Myth. The trailer of the film has hit the internet today and must say, it looks pretty promising. The film, which is reportedly a remake of Telugu film, Bhaagamathie starring Baahubali star Anushka Shetty gives you all the chills. From the creepy setting to Bhumi's scary act, it will not only give you goosebumps but will stun you as well.  
 
Durgamati is a story of an IAS officer, played by Bhumi Pednekar, who falls prey to a major political conspiracy involving powerful forces. Due to which, she is imprisoned in a haunted house where the officers will interrogate her in the corruption case. However, in the course of the investigation, she will experience some scary incidents. The film, which was initially titled Durgavati, has been changed to Durgamati after some controversy.
 
The actor said in a statement, “It is the first time that I am helming a film alone and it is exciting as well as nerve-wrecking. There is a lot of responsibility on me. I have been very fortunate as an artist and I’m proud of my journey in cinema so far. So, I’m grateful for this opportunity."

Durgamati also stars Arshad Warsi, Karan Kapadia, and Mahie Gill in pivotal roles. The film is being bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar and Akshay Kumar and will release on Amazon Prime Video on 11 December.
