The year 2020 witnessed a major boom in the world of digital streaming, thanks to the shutdown of theatres due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Well, other than some big Bollywood flicks, we have also been treated to a streak of entertaining web shows and web films of different genres. The list includes Sacred Games 2, Aarya, Paatal Lok, Special Ops, The Forgotten Army: Azaadi Ke Liye, Raat Akeli Hai, Panchayat, Breathe: Into the Shadows and Bulbbul among many others. Well, to celebrate the same, Filmfare recently held the first-ever OTT Awards.
Yesterday night, the winners of this award show were announced and the list is absolutely exciting. Spoiler alert because from here on, we are going to unveil the same. Both Anushka Sharma's produced shows - Paatal Lok and Bulbbul - have won big, followed by Sacred Games 2, Special Ops and The Family Man. Paatal Lok has won the Best Series, while Jaideep Ahlawat has bagged the Best Actor in Drama Series (Male). Sushmita Sen, on the other hand, has been honoured with Best Actor in Drama Series (Female).
