Tv actress Gehana Vasisth fell unconscious on Thursday afternoon at around 4.30 pm local time, while shooting at Madh island for a web series and was rushed to Raksha Hospital at Charkop naka Malad in a serious/unconscious condition. An update from the hospital claimed that the actress's condition was serious and she was put on the ventilator and other life-saving machines.
"She is not responding to initial treatment and has difficulty breathing on her own. We have put her on a ventilator to ensure she has proper oxygen supply to her brain. You can describe her condition as "very serious for now, but under observation", Dr Pranav Kabra of Raksha Hospital told a reporter.
Dr Pranav Kabra (MD) - cardiac and diabetes specialist who attended to her as soon as she was admitted said, “from the preliminary information we have got so far, Gehana Vasisth was shooting for nearly 48 hours without consuming proper nourishment. She has been admitted to the Intensive Care section and we are doing a series of tests on her. She is suffering from diabetes and her sugar is on the higher side, while her BP is very low. I am not able to say anything right now and we are waiting for the results of the tests. We were told she consumed some energy drinks and was also taking medication for diabetes and some other ailment. We are not sure if there was any reaction between what she consumed. We have to wait for the results of all the tests."
According to the people who accompanied her to Raksha Hospital, Gehana Vasisth was consuming only an energy drink while doing glamorous scenes with her male co-stars. She had not had any food for more than 36 hours, they claimed, explaining that it was a case of exertion.

Gehana Vasisth is under observation and doctors at Raksha Hospital. No information was available as to why Gehana Vasisth suddenly took ill. The picture will be clearer after the results of all the tests are out. Gehana Vasisth was recently seen in ALT Balaji’s Gandi Baat. She is also featuring in shows on the ULLU APP.
The actress who was seen in the lead role on Star Plus’ show Behenein had made headlines when she won the title of Miss Asia Bikini contest in 2012, where she outnumbered thousands of other entries. She has featured in more than 30 South (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada & Malayam) films in the last 5 years.
She was seen in Ye Hai Gudgudee Zindagi Ki Meghna (2018) and also shot for Savita Barbie. Her Telugu film Operation Duryodhana was a moderate hit while BTech Love Story also did well.
