The much-anticipated trailer of Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl was finally dropped by the makers. After making her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s Dhadak in 2018, Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s firstborn is set to impress her fans with her fantastic performance as an IAF pilot Gunjan Saxena. The biopic which was supposed to hit the 70mm will now have a digital release, blame it on Coronavirus. Helmed by Sharan Sharma and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma production, Gunjan Saxena also stars Angad Bedi, Pankaj Tripathi, Vineet Kumar, Manav Vij among others in the pivotal role.

The 2-minute-8-second long trailer sees Janhvi Kapoor’s jest of becoming an IAF pilot. The trailer soon moves on to her preparation to her becoming an IAF pilot. But the story doesn’t end here. Soon after moving to an IAF base, Janhvi aka Gunjan faces gender discrimination and becomes the soft target of the male-dominated base camp. Sharing the trailer, Janhvi wrote, “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl Trailer! Finally the part of the journey where we can start sharing this story that we’ve all been so honoured to be able to tell. Here's the look into the world of #GunjanSaxena - The Kargil Girl I hope you like it! Catch the film on August 12th, only on @netflix_in.”

Well, Janhvi Kapoor led trailer has been shared by SRK, Akshay Kumar and others too. Sharing the trailer Shah Rukh Khan wrote, “A story of a hero like no other - Gunjan Saxena - India’s first woman Air Force Officer to go to war. Wishing love and luck to the team for this inspiring film. #GunjanSaxena.”
