Hidden Gem: Inmates On Netflix Is A Hilarious Show About Millennials
The Viral Fever has created quite a few successful web shows over the past few years. In a way, they have pioneered the Indian web content movement. With shows like Tripling, Pitchers and Permanent Roommates being the most popular ones, TVF’s success is often marked by these shows. However, another TVF production is a show that not too many people have discovered – Inmates.

After delving into romantic relationships, friendships, family trouble, TVF’s Inmates is about another very important relationship in the life of the modern Indian youth – their roommates. We meet five twenty somethings who live together in a modern Mumbai apartment. These three guys and two girls are very very different people and their clashes are what makes the show so appealing.

As it is often said, you never really know someone till you live with them, Inmates is a testament to this fact. These five see the best and more often than not, worst of each other. These five go through it all together – confusions about their sexuality, love life problems, career mishaps. One episode in particular stands out where the five of them are searching frantically for one of their pet cockroaches!

Inmates is a great representation of modern life today in urban India. Roommate problems are not often spoken about in films or shows and this show doesn’t just speak about them, but also celebrates them. The series stars Ashish Verma, Raghav Kakkar, Akansha Thakur, Mukti Mohan and Kashyap Kapoor. The writing is impeccable and characters like Fooga (Kashyap Kapoor) really manage to steal your heart. The actors too breathe life into their parts and are convincing for most of the show.

Inmates is available for streaming on TVFPlay and Netflix. Check it out today!
