Tamannaah Bhatia's latest projects Jee Karda and Lust Stories 2 has been making it to the headlines for a slew of reasons, majorly owing to her intimate scenes in the shows. The actress even broke her no-kissing policy of 14 years.
Now, during a recent interview, Bhatia has broken her silence on the backlash she faced for her OTT ventures. She opened up on misogynist and sexist comments she received post the intimate scenes went viral. The Lust Stories actress shared that she wanted to grow as an actor and not limit herself.
Speaking with Barkha Dutt for Mojo Story, Tamannaah Bhatia spoke about the criticism she received over her intimate scenes. The actress also maintained that she was quite surprised to see that people were judging her morally for performing the intimate scenes and shared how male actors, on the other hand, are lauded for performing scenes.
Tamannaah also got candid about the gender discrimination and said that people waste no time in judging a girl. She also expressed shock over people’s psyche even in the year 2023.
When asked to comment over the misogynist comment, she read: "Kya majboori thi ki ye aise scenes kar rahi kar rahi hai. I found that really strange because as an actor if I play a serial killer, would I become that? "
The actress also spoke about the promise that she made to her parents when she was 14 wherein she maintained that she won’t do anything that would make them uncomfortable.
