After announcing the film in January, Manoj Bajpayee had commenced shooting for his next feature film, Despatch in February this year. However, the shooting had to be stopped midway after Kanu and Manoj tested positive for Covid-19. We now have a new update on this film. Speaking exclusively with Spotboye the actor revealed that he will soon finish the shoot of Dispatch post-monsoon.
"I am left with only six-seven days of shoot and we will resume the shoot after monsoon," says the actor. “ Last week, the team of Despatch shot in Delhi and Aurangabad and wrapped a major portion of the shoot and will finish the shoot in October,” adds the source. Being directed by Kanu Behl, of Titli fame, Despatch is an investigative thriller set in the world of crime journalism. Bajpayee is essaying a character who finds himself sucked into the murky underbelly of business and crime.

The film is bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies and also stars Shahana Goswami in an important role. The film will be a direct-to-digital release but the makers are yet to zero in on any streaming platform for its premiere.
Meanwhile, Manoj Bajpayee will next be seen in Rensil D’Silva’s thriller film Dial 100 which is all set to release on August 6. The 51-year-old actor for the first time will be sharing screen space with Neena Gupta. Dial 100 also features Sakshi Tanwar opposite the Family Man actor.
