Mirzapur 2: Ali Fazal Says Playing Guddu Cost Him ‘Months Of Physiotherapy’ But It Was Worth Every Moment

Ali Fazal shared a BTS picture from the sets of Mirzapur 2, in which he played the role of Guddu. The actor revealed that using a walking stick cost him months of therapy

Mirzapur 2: Ali Fazal Says Playing Guddu Cost Him ‘Months Of Physiotherapy’ But It Was Worth Every Moment
The much-awaited web series Mirzapur 2 finally premiered on the digital platform after which the audience went all crazy over it. Actor Ali Fazal who plays Guddu Pandit in this Amazon Prime Video series, shared a BTS picture of him from the series, where he is seen with a walking stick and revealed an unknown fact about it. The actor’s character demanded him to walk with the support of the stick in the series post which he had to undergo months of physiotherapy for his wrist.

But Ali Fazal mentions he has no regrets with it, as it was worth it. He tweeted, “That stick work cost me months of physiotherapy in the wrist. But worth every moment .. #mood in other news - looking towards interesting times. Bombay is already getting cold. Fascism maybe on its way out from the planet. Love to all @PrimeVideoIN #mirzapur2 #mirzapur.” Ali’s character Guddu is shown using the walking stick in teh show as he was shot in the leg. In the second season he is shown to be back to fulfill his revenge for the death of his wife played by Shriya Pilgaonkar and brother played by Vikrant Massey.

The actor in conversation with Filmfare had revealed about turning down Mirzapur as he was mighty impressed with Guddu’s character but back then he was offered some other role in the series. He said, “I was stuck on Guddu. I was offered another part initially. I think it was Munna’s part, which Divyenndu has done. Speaking more about his role, Guddu, he added, “I really like parts that are unpredictable to me. If I can figure out the entire journey in my head, then it’s no fun. There won’t be any team work because I am not the only person. So I made an excuse. I said I don’t have dates, something has come up. So I left.
