Mirzapur 2: Shweta Tripathi And Rasika Dugal Share Their Behind The Scenes Experience From The Sets And More-EXCLUSIVE VIDEO
Action crime thriller Mirzapur is back with the second season. The series which will stream its first episode on October 23 stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Vijay Varma and Harshita Gaur. And before we could experience the second season, two important characters from the series Golu Gupta (Shweta) and Beena Tripathi (Rasika) joined us for an exclusive conversation and shared their shooting experiences with us. As we all know the show is all about emotions, violence, drugs, guns, murders and lawlessness. We did ask them how do they feel off-screen and all the onset banter.

Talking about one such scene Shweta Tripathi revealed how the climax scene of season 1 turned memorable for her, "I think the climax scene for me was the most difficult emotionally. It was the last day of the shoot for Mirzapur Season 1 as well. So it was closure in many ways and after that, I was supposed to go shoot my South film and I still remember that night. There were so much blood and so many people falling left, right and centre, bullets were being fired so it was not the happiest place to be. The actors you admire you saw them falling and you are seeing their characters dying. So that didn't feel nice. Vo dard kahin na kahin hota bhi hai. And sometimes it becomes opposite also when you have to feel that Bablu (Vikrant Massey), Sweety (Shriya Pilgaonkar) dying and you don't feel anything. And I am like shit I should be feeling bad but this 12 hours shift at times make you tired so much that saari feelings khatam ho jaati hai (laughs)".

While sharing her difficulties during a scene, Rasika said, "All the scenes in Tripathi house had this weird ominous feeling of something is going to go wrong. If you speak to Pankaj or Divyendu they will agree with me. And we were shooting about 14 days at a stretch, the interiors at Tripathi House and they all were very odd shifts like 2 to2 or 3 to3 and that's like neither here nor there. And the scenes that I played inside that house are so dark and there is so full of suspicion you don't know who is playing who and for what. After a time I started feeling the walls are caving into me and I really began to feel suffocated on that set. I was speaking to Devyandu one day and I asked him how is it going? Sab accha jaa raha hai maza aa raha hai scene karne mein par kabhi kabhi bhaut dark ho jata hai. And I used to have the same feeling that the house will consume me".

The actresses also answered their characters taking twisted turns in this new season, how much did they miss Vikrant while shooting the second season without him and more in the above video.
