ZEE5’s recent hot offering, Poison, is nothing short of rage. The series premiered on April 19. Just about 25 days into its run, Poison has become the talk of the town. The show depicts the hunger for power between two Arbaaz Khan (a rich, greedy Goa-based drug lord named Antonio Verghese) and Tanuj Virwani (Ranveer, who post his release from prison, moves to Goa to seek revenge). The series also stars Freddy Daruwala, Riya Sen in pivotal parts. The series is currently streaming on ZEE5 and you can download the app here.

The story is set in Goa and it kicks off when Ranveer Shrivastava embarks on a dangerous journey to seek revenge after serving a seven-year jail term. He cannot let anything get in his way or distract him, neither the beaches of Goa or love. Throughout his journey, he realizes that revenge can finish you internally and it can turn your blood into poison.


Talking about the current track of the series, it has reached a very interesting point where Ranveer has kidnapped Vikram’s family. Unable to contact his family, Vikram seeks help from the Commissioner. Finally, Ranveer calls Vikram to an isolated guest house, where he has held his family members captive. But will Vikram manage to save his family? Well, to know that, tune into the show right away!

Riya, who has been quite out there talking about the series, had shared her bit about the plot. “It's a revenge drama. We went through an intense shoot. Trust me, it was one hell of a shoot but still great fun. We shot largely in Mumbai and some parts in Goa and the results are really wonderful. Just waiting to see the audience reaction."
