Radhika Apte, who’s always known to be the Netflix queen, is once again back with Netflix original film Raat Akeli Hai. The film, which is set to premiere from July 31, reunites her with her Manjhi: The Mountain Man, Badlapur, and Netflix's Sacred Games co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui. A few days back, the trailer of the film was dropped online and it is being applauded by one and all. For the uninitiated, Apte plays the character of mysterious Radha, who was to be married to the man who is murdered on their wedding night. Raat Akeli Hai marks the directorial debut of casting director Honey Trehan.
Recently, SpotboyE got in touch with Radhika Apte and debut director Honey Trehan to talk about this upcoming film Raat Akeli Hai, which is set to release tomorrow. While speaking to us, Radhika spilt the beans on her character and the plot of the film. During their conversation when we happened to ask Radhika about her unbreakable bond with Netflix, she called it an affair.
She told us, “It’s an affair. Sometimes it’s there sometimes one forgets the other then they reunite. Other people are jealous they think it’s not really appropriate. Then they judge. So, it’s an unpredictable relationship.”
Earlier a report in PeepingMoon reported that the producers of the film are uncertain of getting screens after the lockdown is lifted, hence, are looking at digital releases. In Raat Akeli Hai, Nawazudddin Siddiqui will be seen playing the role of a Cop who is investigating this case. The film also stars another versatile line of actors like Shweta Tripathi, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Shivani Raghuvanshi, Aditya Srivastava, Nishant Dahiya, Padmavati Rao, Ila Arun and Swanand Kirkire who will be seen playing the key roles in the film.
