Sadak 2: Alia Bhatt-Aditya Roy Kapur Starrer CONFIRMED To Get OTT Release; Mukesh Bhatt Says He Is 'Compelled' To Do So Amidst Pandemic
Many Bollywood films are now directly releasing on OTT platforms, courtesy the Coronavirus crisis. Theatres have been shut for more than three months as the Government called for a lockdown to curb the spread of the novel virus. While the lockdown has been eased, theatres are yet not allowed to open. In such circumstances, makers are opting to release their films on OTT Platforms. After Gulabo Sitabo, Gunjan Saxena and more, it has been confirmed that Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt starrer Sadak 2 will also release on the web.

To news agency PTI, Mukesh Bhatt said, "t (number of COVID-19 cases) is increasing day-by-day instead of subsiding. In this situation do you think the theatres will open? And even if they do and Sadak 2 is released, will people go to watch it? People have to protect their families. Today, life is more important."

The producer further quoted that he is not left with any other option than to release the film on the web if he has to survive. "I am compelled to come (on digital platform) because I don’t see any light in the near future. This is the best I can do to survive. There are certain things that you do, not out of choice but out of compulsion. This is the only option left. It is a no-brainer."

Sadak 2 is the sequel to the 1991 release Sadak that starred Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. Stay tuned to SpotboyE for more updates. (Also Read: Arjun Kapoor Birthday: Alia Bhatt Drops In A Bomb Wish; Shares Unseen Pic With BF Ranbir Kapoor And Arjun's Ladylove Malaika Arora)
