Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Sacred Games 2 is going to hit Netflix on August 15. The second season of the series is directed by Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan. As the release date of Sacred Games 2 is just a day away from its release, the curiosity among the fans is constantly reaching sky high. All the actors unveiling certain shades of their onscreen characters is just adding the right amount of fuel to their excitement. Recently, while talking to a leading tabloid, Saif who plays Sartaj Singh talked about his journey from films to OTT platform.
While talking to Mid Day, Saif said, "I wasn't trying to achieve anything by paving the way. I do not want to be the poster boy for OTT," reflects Khan, who recently wrapped up the shoot of his home production, Jawaani Jaaneman. "Being in the rat race is the worst thing one can do to himself. I was discussing with Kareena [Kapoor Khan, wife] that I want to model my career on the lines of Tom Hardy's, who shifts between playing the villain in Batman to doing a top-notch show [Taboo]. At this stage of my career, I want to be inimitable. I am developing a range where I am juggling serious stuff and comedy."
Apart from Saif and Nawaz, it also stars Kalki Koechlin, Pankaj Tripathi, Ranvir Shorey, Surveen Chawla, Luke Kenny and Jatin Sarna. Their photoshoot photos were also released a while back where the images showcased a metamorphosis of the actors’ gritty on-screen personas into their ultra-glam, uber chic, gangster avatars.
While the trailer of the show was recently been released, the answer to “Pachchis dino mein kya hoga” has been haunting us all and hence, this is one of the most awaited series. Sacred Games has been amongst one of the most spoken and watched shows of Netflix. The show’s plot revolves around a cop named Sartaj Singh and a gangster named Ganesh Gaitonde and the city of Mumbai. The Sacred Games Season 2 will arrive on August 15, 2019.
