Actor Pratik Gandhi tasted success overnight after starring in filmmaker Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. After release, the series received mostly positive reviews from critics while praising Pratik’s performance as well due to which, he soon became the talk of the town. Having said that, the actor is now in demand and has reportedly, bagged a role in Tigmanshu Dhulia's next web-series titled Six Suspects. The thrilling murder mystery is the adaptation of Vikas Swarup's much-acclaimed novel with the same name.
Though the details of Prathik’s character is under the wraps, PeepingMoon has learnt that the series will also feature actor Richa Chadha who will be playing a Bollywood sex-symbol with a guilty secret. As per the portal, Six Suspects revolves around a playboy son of the Home Minister of Uttar Pradesh who is been murdered by one of the guests at his own party. Nevertheless, this would be Dhulia's third collaboration with Hotstar after Criminal Justice and Out of Love. The show is scheduled to go on floors around March this year.
After the success of Scam 1992, Pratik Gandhi revealed how the success of the series impacted on his career. He told SpotboyE.com, “Now I get narrations from filmmakers. This was something I could never dream of before Scam 1992. I am also being considered for the protagonist’s role. After I played Harshad Mehta, they are seeing me in complex characters. I will do more web series, more theatre and at least one regional film in 2021.”
“Whether it is a theatre or cinema, I’ve gone by instincts and will continue to do so. I’ve already committed myself to a few web series and feature. I am hopeful that some of my work in 2021 would create the same magic as Scam 1992,” he further added.
