With four seasons out on Netflix already, fans were theorizing on Twitter ever since the trailer for Season 5 was released. The plot so far? The period drama-thriller stars Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby, a war veteran who also leads his family gang. They call themselves the Peaky Blinders.

Season 5 is set in the backdrop of the financial crash in Britain which took place in 1929 and this time, the Shelby family is faced with a new problem. Tommy is now a part of the British parliament. A politician enters the picture, someone who is cunning and charismatic at the same time, and Shelby not only has to save his family but also society at large. With the trailer, we can see that a few deaths are impending the Shelby family and a host of new characters are to be introduced too.
