The Office (US) is definitely one of those shows since it first premiered in 2005 and 14 years later, it has a huge fan base. Set in an office environment of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, the show has the most hilarious characters. Spearheaded by Steve Carell, the head of the office, each cast member is incredible and the show is written to give each of them a unique voice. Spanning over 9 seasons, definitely catch this one if you haven’t.
2. Modern Family – Streaming on Hotstar
Family comedies are no surprise when it comes to popular television show formats, but execution is key. And this is exactly what Modern Family hits out of the park. Following the adventures (or should we say misadventures) of a single family, Modern Family is equal parts hilarious and heart-warming. With ten years and counting since it first premiered, this one is sure to age well.
3. Breaking Bad – Streaming on Netflix
The premise of Breaking Bad itself is a winner. A man is undergoing a mid-life crisis and a cancer diagnosis at the same time. With a few months to live and a huge medical bill to foot, he begins cooking meth. What follows is an encounter with law enforcement and other drug dealers. Vince Gilligan, the maker of the show, has crafted something truly wonderful with this one. In fact, Netflix is producing a spin-off film to the show as well.
