Vikrant Massey Wants To Dance More; 14 Phere Actor Says ‘My Team And I Are Fishing Out For An Out And Out Dance Story’-EXCLUSIVE
Vikrant Massey made his entry into showbiz through the Disney show, Dhoom Machao Dhoom. He later went on to make a name for himself on the small screen through his stint in successful TV shows like Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo and Balika Vadhu. However, the actor’s talent and skills were too large to just be confined to the small screen.

In 2013, Vikrant made a switch to films with a supporting role in Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha’s Lootera. He went on to do a few more supporting roles in mainstream commercial Bollywood films - Dil Dhadakne Do and Half Girlfriend. But 2020 brought a change in the actor’s career as he established himself as not just a leading man for parallel cinema, but also commercial cinema. He starred as the leading man opposite Deepika Padukone in Chhapaak, with Yami Gautam in Ginny Weds Sunny, opposite Taapsee Pannu in Haseen Dillruba and most recently, in 14 Phere with Kriti Kharbanda.

Not known to many, Vikrant is a trained dancer as well and has worked with Shiamak Davar. And even though he didn’t get to show that side of his in his earlier projects, he is slowly getting them now with these masala potboilers. Ask the actor if he feels the same about getting to explore his dance capabilities through these films and he responds, “Not yet, to be honest.”

Vikrant goes on to state, “There are only two films where I have got the opportunity to dance. The first in Ginny Weds Sunny and now here in 14 Phere, in the song Chamak. My team and I are now actually fishing for an out and out dance story. Such scripts aren’t coming to me yet, I don’t know why. But if someone can hear this, I want to dance more.”
