Vishnuvardhan Reveals The Reason Behind Casting Kiara Advani, 'There Couldn't Be Anybody Else Other Than Her, Who Could Actually Play Dimple'-EXCLUSIVE

Director Vishnuvardhan can't stop praising his leading lady Kiara Advani in the upcoming biographical war film Shershaah. The Arrambam director says the actress was the first and the right choice for the film.

Kiara Advani, the actress, who has made head turn with some brilliant performances in past will soon be seen in the upcoming Biopic on Vikram Bhatra Shershaah with Sidharth Malhotra. Director Vishnuvardhan who is making his Bollywood debut with the film shares the reasons as to what made the actress his first and best choice for the film.

The director says, "If you ask me there couldn't be anybody else other than Kiara who could actually play Dimple Cheema. Because of the characteristics of what Dimple had in real and the characteristics of real Dimple played by Kiara are very similar."

Vishnuvardhan also revealed that they were scouting for other actresses, however, they couldn't shake Kiara out of their mind, "Though we are talking about options and all those things, deep down we knew that Kiara was the perfect thing for the film. And I think that is absolutely true to its sense, for me Dimple is only Kiara." The film is co-produced by Karan Johar and traces the life journey of Param Vir Chakra awardee and army captain Vikram Batra. Shershaah is slated to release on 12 August on Amazon Prime Video.

Kiara's impeccable work in the past has made her one of the most sought out actresses of Bollywood today. Shershaah will be her second biopic post-M.S. Dhoni where she played Sakshi Dhoni. The actress also has a couple of other films in her kitty. Jug Jugg Jiyo with Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Mr. Lele, and a film with Shankar opposite Ranveer Singh.
