Weekend Watchlist: Web Series And Films To Watch This Weekend
Let’s face it, there are a lot of shows and films out there – more than we can possibly watch. To help you break through the clutter and emerge victorious, we bring you our list of web shows and films that are worth your time this weekend. Let’s get started!

1. Cold Lassi Aur Chicken Masala – Zee5/ALTBalaji

Probably the biggest Indian release of the week, Cold Lassi Aur Chicken Masala already has a lot of hype surrounding it. For starters, it stars two of television’s biggest actors, Rajeev Khandelwal and Divyanka Tripathi. It is also the web debut for director Pradeep Sarkar who has earlier directed films like Parineeta and Mardaani. The show is a romantic drama set behind-the-scenes at a restaurant. The protagonists, both chefs, were ex-lovers are now re-united under professional circumstances and sparks fly again. Although all the episodes are not out yet, watch the show for the sizzling chemistry between the leads.

2. Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance – Netflix

This fantasy show is based on a 1980s film of the same name. An ambitious project by Netflix, the show is actually a prequel to the film. The world is one where the Gelfling tribes live under the Skeksi rule. These are mythical creatures but their problems are so relevant, you’ll often mistaken them for human beings. Fantasy playing out reality seems to be a common theme whether it is Game of Thrones or more recently, Prime Video’s Carnival Row. Don’t miss this one!

3. Falling Inn Love – Netflix

A city girl wins a lottery and wins herself a rustic inn in New Zealand. Sounds perfect right? This Netflix original film continues their streak of sweet rom-coms. She gets there and realizes that the inn is actually crumbling. So she decides to renovate and finds herself a potential love interest on the way. Reminiscent of the film We Bought A Zoo, Falling Inn Love has a similar premise and is a light, feel-good watch. Watch both if you can!
