Kanan Gill has bagged his first-ever original comedy special with Netflix titled 'Yours Sincerely, Kanan Gill'. The trailer of the same is out now
Receiving letters from someone beloved can often make you feel special. But what happens when you receive a letter from your 15-year-old self, who wants to be sure that you grow up to be the best version of yourself in the years to come? From being a ‘Pretentious’ movie reviewer to learning to ‘Keep it Real’, Kanan Gill’s comedic adventures land him on Netflix for his first-ever Original Comedy Special, ‘Yours Sincerely, Kanan Gill’, premiering on 24 April 2020.
When asked about writing and producing the special, Kanan said, “This show is about rediscovering the goals I’d set for myself when I was younger and seeing how my life has measured up. It’s about how I thought my life would be, how it turned out to be and how I feel about it. The process of writing is spending long periods of time with nothing but ideas. Each line has been agonized over and told to thousands of people around the world before being recorded.”
He started off by writing software, then funny songs, and now jokes. Kanan shares his views on Indians and small/ big talk, brushes up on the different formats of letters, and of course, discusses ‘achievable’ goals his younger self set for him.
‘Yours Sincerely, Kanan Gill’ will take you on a rollercoaster as Kanan promises to enthral you with his razor-sharp wit. One thing you can be sure of is that this will certainly not be ‘timepass’.
