Betaal Review: A Perfectly 'Horrifying' Dish Served By Netflix During Lockdown
Netflix has come out with its latest offering, Betaal, in the horror genre in collaboration with Red Chillies Entertainment. The web series stars Vineet Kumar Singh and Aahana Kumra in significant roles.

The series has been released at a perfect time when most are constantly looking out for new content on various platforms. We are on lockdown 4.0 and most have exhausted their lists by now.

Talking about the plot of the series, well, it is based between a village called Nilja and a mountain called Betaal. A contractor wants to make a highway by opening a tunnel between the village and the mountain but but the villagers are against it, as the tunnel has a history attached to it. The series proceeds further showing the struggle the contractor faces to complete his task, from all ends- Government, villagers and the supernatural forces.

The Beep Meter for the show is at an all time high as it is quite gory and also involves usage of a lot of foul language.

The performances are killer and deserve applauds. Ahana Kumra as Deputy Commandant Ahluwalia exudes a lot of confidence and Vineet Kumar Singh as Vikram Sirohi surely has the potential to become Irrfan Khan's waaris.

The show is high on background score which instantly uplifts it but you may find a few scenes funny as our audience still doesn't get the zombie world idea to well. Our verdict is totally bingeworthy!
