Watch The Best Standup Comedy Specials Of 2018 For A Diwali Full Of Laughter
Stand-up Act 1:

Rahul’s act flies right from the start! The most unique part of Rahul Subramaniam’s special case is that there is no central premise. Instead, he covers topics pertaining to corporate jobs, maids, weddings and his most vital bit, from the special, is the clubs!

To add to it, Subramaniam is pretty affable on-stage; he is effortlessly funny and has an amazing sense of observation. We also have Rahul’s role-play, voice modulation and fourth wall breaking punchlines which results into a firecracker of a performance.

My favourite bits from Kal main udega include the ‘In flight magazine’, ‘Wimbledon finals’, ‘drugs in sports’, ‘cousins at weddings’.

Verdict: Bingeworthy! (3.5 stars)

Stand-up No 2

Take It Easy by Anirban Dasgupta

There will be several times when you may not be rolling into peals of laughter over a comedian’s jokes, as much as you would be on his laughter. Thankfully, Anirban Dasgupta’s jokes and laughter are equally funny!

Anirban, at some point says, “We Bengalis don’t insult your female relatives in our abuses, we insult your intelligence!” And he’s right! TAKE IT EASY is simply the most intelligent piece of written material this year. From his own personal experiences of Kolkoata, he makes comments around Bengali culture, Netaji and Internet trolls that results into awkwardness. Then, he follows it up with unassuming and lethargic punchlines that will immediately diffuse your stress levels.

His delivery on stage is pretty chilled out and relaxed and the sooner you catch his vibe, the harder you’ll laugh!

Verdict: Bingeworthy

No one collects stamps anymore, poitical rally, it’s a list not an exception, cashbacks and babies!
