The series stars Akshay Oberoi playing the role of a troubled junkie, who is losing the grip on his life pretty soon, and Ranvir Shorey who essays the role of a detective and a hitman, haunted by his past.  Apart from Akshay Oberoi and Ranvir Shorey delivering some stellar performances, the web series also features Mrinmayee Godbole, Shweta Basu Prasad, Kunal Naik, Prakash Belawadi, Nakul Bhalla, Mantra and Madhur Mittal.

The MX player’s web series, High is a nine episodes long web series, running for a time duration of 40:00 minutes each, approximately.  The series starts with the first episode titled Marithima Nefrulia, which obviously does not give away much, but introduces every important character that makes High what it is. Overall, the web series sees the chase for finding out the makers of the new pill named ‘Magic’ which has managed to maintain its position in the market in no time.

With the trailer of High giving the viewer a fair knowledge of what to expect from the series, High keeps the audience hooked on to the last episode with the twists, turns and suspense, all included with the strong performance pulled off by every character. The series takes the viewer through raves, nightclubs, rehab centres, the police, the drug mafia, corporate, the hide-out of the so-called Naxals, and lots more. Set across the background of the city, High is also shot in some amazing locations. Apart from the chase and run, the series has a distinctive colour palette, with flashbacks that take place in the early 70s, shown in black and white.

The web series High is an all-time entertainer for all the crime-thriller lovers. The cliff-hangers throughout the series leave the viewer guessing about what’s going to happen next, maitaining the suspense till the end. But, the need for a better climax in the last episode, gives the viewer a reason to wonder if there’s another season in the making.
