We engaged in a quick chat with popular Punjabi actress, Simi Chahal who will next be seen in Jass Grewal's yet-to-be-titled project. The actress spoke about the web shows which have caught her fancy.
Simi spilled the beans on her favourite web series that include Zoya Akhtar directorial Made in Heaven and her all-time favourite, Friends.
For quite a while now, Made in Heaven has been the talk of the town. It is a nine-episode web series that premiered on Amazon Prime recently. The show garnered a lot of appreciation and great reviews from the critics as well as the audiences. It portrays the magnificent big fat Indian wedding business and also shown the realities that are concealed in all the chaos.
Karan aka Arjun Mathur and Tara aks Sobhita Dhulipala respectively, run a wedding planning company called ‘Made in Heaven’. While planning and creating some elegant weddings for the elite families they become a part of something which is beyond their actual jobs. The web series also features Jim Sarbh and Kalki Koechlin in important roles.
And finally, talking of Simi's all-time favourite English web series Friends, it gave us an emotional rollercoaster over its 10 seasons and Monica Geller’s struggle to start a family has touched everyone's heart.
In fact, Simi also said that if she ever gets a chance to play the role of Monica she would love to play that.
