Here's How Sanya Malhotra Prepped For Her Role In Upcoming Movie Shakuntala Devi

After the great success of her debut film Dangal, Sanya Malhotra proved that she’s one to watch out for. Soon after that the actress continued to impress the audience with her back to back films like Pataakha, Badhaai Ho and Photograph. Sanya also has some pretty interesting projects in her kitty, which include Shakuntala Devi starring Vidya Balan.
In the movie Sanya is playing the role of Vidya aka Shakuntala Devi’s daughter Anupama Banerjee. During an interview, the Badhai Ho actress spoke about how she prepped for her role. She said, “My character in Shakuntala Devi is based on a real person, her daughter Anupama Banerjee." She further added, "I believe that 70 percent of our job is done by the makeup and hair department. With the look in place, I got into her shoes easily. My director, too, helped me a lot to understand my character in the movie.”
Meanwhile, talking about her workfront, Sanya will play a role of Anupama Banerjee in her upcoming project 'Shakuntala Devi', where she will be seen sharing screen with Vidya Balan. Apart from this, she will also be seen in Anurag Basu's untitled next opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. Both films are slated to release early this year.
