Let’s admit that most of us have been trying several alternatives, some very expensive, to get rid of that stubborn fat in our body or to increase our metabolism. But do all of them guarantee effective results? We guess not. But here’s an extremely healthy food item that not only aids in losing weight but also helps in bettering your immunity amid the Coronavirus pandemic and, let us tell you, they are absolutely pocket-friendly as well. We are talking about sprouts. Interestingly, the tip comes from renowned celebrity nutritionist and exercise science expert, Rujuta Diwekar.
On the occasion of Navratri, Rujuta took to her Instagram account and shared the benefits of having sprouts and how it is a complete homemade package for boosting one’s immunity. “Celebrated in yoga as the food of the wise, this homemade immunity booster is just what grandma ordered to pick up your mood and kick out negativity,” read the nutritionist’s caption. She continued how the sprouted moong is a favourite meal of the Goddess too.
“Rich in fibre, antioxidants and amino acids, the sprouted moong is a wholesome meal and a favourite of the Goddess too. Best enjoyed in cooked form as usal, sondal or even misal (which coincidentally was also adjudged the best vegan protein dish in the world). Asking @rekhadiwekar to post one of her fav recipes of moong,” added Rujuta.
