It is important to stay fit always for celebrities. Be it Bollywood or Television, stars are expected to be in their best shape always. On this note, TV actress Reem Shaikh has revealed that there was a time when directors told her that she does not look fit on camera. So, Reem took it upon herself and worked crazily hard to get a lean and fit body. In a recent interview, she revealed her diet regime and spoke about how she has not eaten roti in the past two years.

To ETimes, Tujhse Hai Raabta actress was quoted saying, "Being an actress has been my ultimate and only dream. So, if being chubby was getting in my work, then I was ready to get ready for it. I got many casting directors’ feedback, ‘See you are not looking fit for screen, because on-screen you tend to look 20% more of what you are’. I worked my a** out. It’s been two and half years I haven’t had roti because I started gluten-free diet. Sunday is the only day I would cheat and have pizza or a burger maybe."

Reem, however, further revealed that she has been very lazy during the lockdown period. But she is following her diet regime strictly. She was quoted saying, "During the lockdown, I have been very laid back. I don’t workout daily. , I have always been a firm believer in controlling my food. If I control my eating habits, I can stay fit. I eat healthy and I eat early. I try to eat by 9 pm daily. I am not too aggressive about working out.”
