The International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21 globally. This year’s theme is ‘Yoga at Home and Yoga with Family’.

Virtual Yoga Day Celebration This Year Due To Coronavirus
India has entered the unlock phase 1 from June 8. Shopping, religious places, restaurants have been opened after a gap of almost two months. But the cases of coronavirus have been increasing rapidly. India has already reported above 1 lakh positive cases till now.

Keeping in view the pandemic, the Ministry of AYUSH has announced that this year virtual Yoga day celebration. The ministry announced international video blog competition, titled ‘My Life My Yoga’.

Participants have to make a 3-minute video of performing yoga ‘asanas’ and put them on their social media platforms with the hashtag #MyLifeMyYoga and also hashtag their country name tagging the AYUSH ministry.

The competition was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 31 and it will be run in two parts. The first one is the international video blogging contest and the second one is global prize winners.
