The maker of ‘Timepass’, an exemplary filmmaker gave Marathi cinema great films like, ‘Timepass’, ‘Timepass 2’, ‘Balak Palak’, ‘Nude’ and ‘Kaccha Limbu’ is back with a gripping story. ‘Ananya’, is the story written and directed by Pratap Phad has already rocked the stage.
‘Ananya’ after receiving a lot of praise and recognition by critics, fans and various drama festivals, this play has reached across the stage, across languages and across a number of national festivals.
It was showcased in one of the most prestigious platforms of Bharat Rang Mahotsav. Rujuta Bagwe, the lead actress got recognized for ‘Ranga Pratibha Puraskar’ of Akhil Bhartiya Natya Parishad. Both Rutuja and Pratap were recognized as ‘Best Actor Female’ and ‘Best Director’ respectively, by ‘Maharashtra Rajya Shasan Puraskar’ in the commercial drama category. The play was so successful in Marathi that it was adapted in Hindi for a larger audience to get inspired by the story of ‘Ananya’.
Now Ravi Jadhav’s team, Pratap Phad, Amol Bhor, Shraddha Kakade, Yugandhar, and Mayuresh Bhor and the leading lady Hruta Durgule have put together the film. The shooting of the film has finally commenced and Ravi shared the clapboard of the film indicating that the shoot has kicked-off.
This story is of a simple girl-next-door ‘Ananya’ who meets with a life-altering accident. Losing her feet and restricted to a wheelchair, her life takes a turn and she undergoes a very inspiring transformation. This story is bound to motivate viewers to live life in a more meaningful way.
The audience will look forward to Ravi Jadhav’s distinctive style of filmmaking and a refreshing approach of the writer, director Pratap Phad. Hruta’s performance in the TV show, ‘Phulpakhru’ and play, ‘Dada Ek Good News Ahe’, has already established her as a talented actress.
