The fashionista and youth icon of Marathi and Hindi film industry, Shriya will now be playing a ‘Punjaban’ in ‘Bhangra Paa Le’ a love story that tells you about the difference in the concept of love, ‘then and now’.

Excited for the release Shriya announces the same on her Instagram. The motion poster gives you a glimpse of the highlights of the film. The classy retro-style title track gives an energetic vibe.

The title of the film is based on the best ‘Bhangra’ of ‘Bollywood’ from ‘Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan’s’ iconic Bollywood film ‘Karan Arjun’. The film shows the journey of a Punjabi boy who takes part in a Bhangra Dance-Off. So passionate about his Bhangra talent, he is looking for a perfect dance partner to complete his act. He meets the woman of his dreams.

The modern love story complicated over trivialities is compared with the story of a Punjabi warrior from the ’80s who also meets his woman because of his Bhangra passion. The lovers are separated because the boy has to report on the border for fulfilling his duty towards the nation.

Shriya looks adorable in a Punjabi look with a Patiala Suit and Gota-wali Chunar! Her performance in the trailer itself has got everyone hooked on the film, and the new song ‘Ranjhaan’, has piqued our excitement about the film. She will be seen next in ‘Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai’, and ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ opposite Rana Daggubatti.

Her unique choice of films like ‘Ekulti Ek’, ‘Un Plus Une’ (French), ‘House Arrest’ (Netflix), ‘Fan’ (Bollywood) and her series ‘Mirzapur’ and ‘Beecham House’ were critically-acclaimed projects that have diversified her portfolio as an actress. Shriya’s performance in plays like ‘Bombay Dying’ and ‘Common People’ set her apart even in the theatre world.

She is also a director and producer of short films and a trained Kathak dancer. Being a popular youth icon on social media, her sense of style and girl-next-door looks are followed by many girls! Watch out this space for more on Shriya and her film ‘Bhangra Paa Le’!
