‘Chhapaak': Deepika Padukone And Sonali Kulkarni Are Planning To Have 'Varan-Bhat' Together

Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar in collaboration with Fox Star Studios are presenting ‘Chhapaak’. This story is based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, an acid attack victim who not just survived the attack but won a legal battle against a shabby legal system. Vikrant Massey plays the male lead in the film. Releasing on 10 January 2020, ‘Chhapaak’, is all set to narrate a story of courage and strength of women.
As a part of promotions, Deepika is posing on social media with leading women from every regional film industry. These women are examples of strong and courageous women who have carved their own niche in their respective industries. For the Marathi industry, the face representing a strong and courageous woman is Sonali Kulkarni.

Deepika who herself is Manglorean Konkani is fond of Marathi tradition that has a very close resemblance to her own culture. Sonali and Deepika bonded a lot during the photoshoot not just over films and fashion, but also on food and regional cuisines, Deepika and Sonali have agreed to enjoy a wholesome ‘Varan-Bhat’ meal together. ‘Varan-Bhat’ is rice and dal served with a spoonful of ghee. Deepika holds Sonali to the promise that she will treat the former in this sumptuous meal.
