After giving hits like  ‘Baba’, ‘Me Pan Sachin’, ‘Dhyanimani’, ‘Bhay’, and ‘Jai Maharashtra Dhaba’, Abhijeet Khandkekar today has become a popular actor. 

His journey in M-town started with his fame in ‘Maharatshtracha Superstar’. This reality show by Zee Marathi hosted a talent hunt in Maharashtra and auditioned people from every nook-and-corner of the state. The training, acting and feedback format of the show groomed many participants. Abhijeet Khandkekar emerged as one of the finalists in the show. 

Nostalgic about his journey Abhijeet shared a video on his Instagram as a tribute to Zee Marathi’s ‘Maharatshtracha Superstar’ and as an alumnus of the greatest reality tv acting school, he wished the next participants luck on their journey.

When Abhijeet Khandkekar was young, he was known in his circle for his talent of acting, performing and storytelling. Originally from Nashik, he did his education in Pune. He has a specialization in Mass Communication. His ability to act, host and entertain fetched him the position of an RJ on Radio Mirchi.

After trying his luck in Zee Marathi’s Maharashtra Superstar contest, his career spring boarded. Getting the role of a male lead in ‘Maziya Priyala Prit Kalena’ with Ekta Kapoor’s debut Marathi production, was his first step to success. There was no looking back for Abhijeet after this success. Known as a romantic hero, he has acquired a special place in the hearts of many young girls. 

Abhijeet is a true-blue star who has emerged from almost nowhere but has made it big as Maharashtra’s superstar!
