Amruta Subhash Concerned Elephants Will Go Extinct, Speaks Up On The Elephant Killing In Kerala
Marathi talented superstar Amruta Subhash who is currently a sensation with back to back hits in Hindi like Sacred Games, Choked, Gully Boy, and many more, is taking a stand on the elephant killing in Kerala. The incident occurred in  Malappuram in Kerala, where a couple of hooligans fed a hungry elephant with a pineapple laced with explosive fireworks. The 15-year-old pregnant elephant stood for hours in water dying a slow and agonizing death. The local authorities did their best to try and help her but she met an unfortunate death.

Just like every other citizen, even the Marathi film and TV celebrities have expressed grief on the inhuman act of killing an innocent pregnant elephant. Amruta Subhash shares her experience of working in one of the films with an elephant Laxmi. In her experience, elephants are spiritually connected to each other even from across the world. They sense if something is endangering them. With these brutal killings and torturous deaths of elephants across the world, some for their tusks, some for their skin, some for entertainment, and some purely for cruel intentions, elephants have become endangered specie now.

While talking about Laxmi the actress writes, “I fell in love with her the moment I saw her. In the process of our shooting, she got so involved in me that in one scene when I was speaking in a panic tone as was required in the scene she started patting on my head with her trunk as she didn’t understand it was a scene and it was unreal. She was very sensitive. If someone talked in a sarcastic tone with her she understood that sarcasm and she would be angry with that person”. She further adds, “I am missing Laxmi so much... but yes.. when I meet her again it would be difficult for me to face her and look into her eyes”.

Amruta Subhash is a diverse Marathi actress who gained popularity for her play Ti Phulrani. Her Oscar-nominated film Shwaas, television serials like Zoka and Avghachi Ha Sansar, her Emmy nominated Netflix series Sacred Games 2, and film Choked are some of her best works!
