Bhushan Pradhan and Raima Sen starrer 'Anya' will now release in Marathi. The film, also stars Atul Kulkarni, Tejashri Pradhan in crucial roles, was originally made in Hindi. The information was shared by the Times of India.
The film’s star cast also includes Govind Namdev, Yashpal Sharma , Sunil Tawade along with Krutika Deo. The film was released in 2018 and did well on the box office.
‘Anya’ is about human trafficking. The film explores a realistic hard core issue in society today and expose the sordid truth behind it. Simmy Joseph has written the story and directed also. Vipin Patwah from Bollywood is the music composer of the film along with Ramanathan , Rishi S and Krishna Raj while Rohit Kulkarni has scored the background music. Hindi Lyrics is by Dr. Sagar & Sanjeev Sarathi & Marathi Lyrics by Prashant Jamdar. Saba Mayuri is the choreographer.

On the work front, Raima Sen’s ‘Sitara’ was released on July 19. Based on the popular novel ‘Bhorer Proshuti’, the film is directed by Abul Bashar and stars M. Naser, Subrat Dutta, Meghna Naidu, Fajlul Rahman Babu (Bangladesh) and Jahed Hasan (Bangladesh) in pivotal roles. The film is about a helpless village girl who was dragged into prostitution. The plot is based on the backdrop of India-Bangladesh border and the illegal garments business in the area.
