On the auspicious occasion of Guru Pournima, Shree Swami Samartha Annachhatra Mandal, Akkalkot, felicitated a few stalwarts from different fields of Performing Arts genre. Amongst them were one of the most senior, melodious playback singer Asha Bhosle, heart throb of Marathi film industry, Swwapnil Joshi and senior Marathi poet and lyricist Na. Dho. Mahanor.
Asha Bhosle was honoured with the ‘Swamiratna Rashtriya Puraskar’, while Swwapnil Joshi and Na. Dho. Mahanor received the ‘Swamibhushan Rajya Puraskar’. Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar also was a guest of honour at this grand celebration.

For those who know little about Na. Dho. Mahanor, he is a Marathi poet who has been awarded the fourth-highest civilian honor of India, the Padma Shri in 1991 and has also written lyrics for Marathi movies like ‘Ek Hota Vidushak’.
