Veteran actress Ashalata Wabgaonkar’s demise has brought great sadness to every actor in the Marathi industry. She has worked with many actors in her whole career of more than 100 films. Almost every Marathi actor has offered their condolences to her. Well-known actors like Renuka Shahane, Subodh Bhave, Bharat Jadhav, and Bhargavi Chirmule have prayed for her by expressing their grief on their social media handles.

Renuka tweeted yesterday saying she has felt a great sorrow after hearing this news. She said COVID has taken a life of such a lovely soul. She said Ashalata Tai was a caring, and emotional person and a great actress. She ended her words by praying for her soul.


Subodh also wrote his sad feelings with a picture of him with the late actress Ashalata and late actor Viju Khote. He said actress Ashalata was like “Maa (Mother)” to everyone. And she has left everyone orphaned after her sad demise. He prayed for her by posting their picture from their last meeting in February ago.


Actor Bharat Jadhav also prayed for her death with a post. Bharat Jadhav didn’t day much but his post is showing his sorrow over this great loss. He has also worked with late actress Ashalata in the film One Room Kitchen.


Actress Bhargavi Chirmule who has also worked with the late actress Ashalata in the film One Room Kitchen has shared her feelings. She posted her picture with Ashalata from the film. She prayed for her and said she is out of words to say anything. May late actress Ashalata’s soul rest in peace.
