Ever since the trailer launch of the forthcoming Marathi film Bonus is out, producer Govind Ubhe is excited to present this emotional journey to Marathi fans. The GSEAMS film co-produced by Anupama Karale and Kanchan Patil, and presented by Arjun Singh Baran, Kartik D Nishandar and Lion Crown Entertainment, releases on February 28.
Bonus is a sentiment, not just money. This February Govind Ubhe brings to you a ‘Bonus’ of emotions. Directed by Saurabh Bhave brings out the best chemistry of the hot and handsome Gashmeer Mahajani and the diva Pooja Sawant. Here’s a candid chat with Govind:
When asked how does Govind make the most critical decision of choosing a topic for his cinema, he answers, “ A producer has to think of the audience before making the choice of a script or a topic”. This is exactly what he did with Bonus and this is exactly why Govind guarantees it is a complete entertainment package. “Bonus also sends out an important message to the audience through the medium of entertainment” he adds.
Cinematographer Sanjay Memane and director Saurabh Bhave have really put together a great canvas that enhances the chemistry of our very new pair Gashmeer Mahajani and Pooja Sawant. Talking about them Govind says, “Marathi cinema must have witnessed Saurabh’s screenplay, but this time they will also witness his directorial craft”. He further praises the hot new couple saying, “They both are really mature and have a great understanding of the craft”. He strongly agrees that the fresh new director and a brand new pair certainly adds spice to the flavors. He also praised how Sanjay has captured every frame of the film correctly.
Govind has practically realized his college dream to make films that are relatable to the audience. He loves every aspect of the production process and feels lucky to be doing what he loves.
