The newest short film, Devi, directed by Priyanka Banerjee and produced by Electric Apples Entertainment for Large Short Films, looks like a revolutionary story. The new poster launch of this story tells us it is a dark yet inspiring story for womankind.
The film stars 9 leading ladies Kajol, Shruti Hassan, Neha Dhupia, Neena Kulkarni, Mukta Barve, Sandhya Mhatre, Rama Joshi, Shivani Raghuvanshi, and Yashaswini Dayama. It is a story of nine oppressed women, from different strata of society, living together sharing their lives, their pain, their struggles and a fuming intolerance towards the society that tolerates this abuse.
The makers recently shared the first look from the film and now we have the new poster of the film announcing it’s release today. A powerful cast, a gripping storyline and great direction assure you will be taken on a short yet thought-provoking journey.
Mukta announces release with the poster captioned, “A tale of nine women navigating through an unusual sisterhood thrust upon them by circumstance. The teaser of our powerful short film drops on 24th February 2020!”
Kajol, plays one of the primary characters in the plot. The Tanhaji actess shared a teaser with the announcement too, the trailer releases at 3pm today!
This film is Kajol and Shruti Hasan’s debut in short films. Talented Marathi actresses like Mukta Barve, Neena Kulkarni, and Rama Joshi who have previously worked on films portraying strong female characters in Bandishala, Uttarayan and Dowry respectively. The audience can expect a fine performance by the actresses and a great narrative in this upcoming film.
