This historical film 'Farzand' was based on the warrior Kondaji Farzand, who along with 60 other warriors defeated 2500 soldiers of the enemy to win the Panhala fort in just three and a half hours. It pays tribute to the unsung hero of the Maratha empire — Sardar Kondaji Farzand, Shivaji Maharaj’s Braveheart, and disciple of the great Tanaji Malusare.
Ankit Mohan plays the role of Farzand, Chinmay Mandlekar plays Shivaji Maharaj, Prasad Oak plays Bahirji Naik, Mrinal Kulkarni as Jijamata, and Mrunmayee Deshpande as the feisty Keshar.
